Question by Eartha’s Garden of Delightfulness: Is it wrong to accept cut price plumbing services from a man who you are quite sure fancies you & thus is?
offering discounts which you know would not be offered if say my 68 year old neighbour had booked the job?
My water heater died three days ago and I called three local plumbers. One of them was very helpful, aiding me in sourcing a second hand unit for $ 180 instead of the $ 8845 a new one was listed in his catalogue for. Then he undercut the two other plumbers who quoted on the installation…Theirs $ 350/$ 375…his $ 150…and he said all he wants in return is a cuppa afterwards….
What to do…what to do????
I am single btw…him I don’t know about, but he’s about 40, quite attractive and gainfully employed, so prolly not
That’s $ 885…not 8885…the bugger isn’t gold lined or anything
The water heater comes with a six month warranty and I’ll be out of here in three months. My ex husband refuses to pay any part of the cost, even though we still have not settled on the house and he plans to move back here with his fat ugly slag…I mean new partner…no way am I buying that pair a brand new water heater if I can avoid it. They’ve already got the car, the motor bike, the bbq, the trailer, the caravan and the computer that used to belong here. I think they’ll survive.

Question by Lizzy: Is there anybody out there having trouble dealing with their local Children’s Services Agency?
1. Children taken
2. Grandchildren taken
3 Families separated unnecessarily
4 any answers welcome
Answer by Dis Gal I was a social worker for a state children’s service agency for over 10 years. 99.999% of the time there is a good reason the children were taken out of the family home, whether the bio family wants to believe it or not. From my experience it is best to focus time/energy on doing what is needed to rectify the situation that led to the removal, rather than fighting the removal.

Question by Marilyn T: SC, does anyone use the free services of their local library?
My husband just signed up at our neighborhood library here in Budapest as a favor to me.
It can get a bit time consuming and costly to buy books over here that are printed in English.
I have seen them as high as $ 8.50 to 50 cents in a used condition.( sometimes I can’t find them and other times there are many to chose from)
New prints are $ 25. a book or more.
What took me back here was we had to pay for a membership to use the local library.
As a senior citizen, my husband got a 50% discount on the membership.
The rate was equivalent to $ 25. for 6 months and use of all Budapest libraries or $ 12. for 6 months and only access to the one library, we opted for membership to all libraries.
Does anyone know if there was ever a fee charged in the US in the past for the privilege of borrowing books?
I know there are late fees but this is different.
Answer by Nick Name One small town I lived in, in North Carolina, had two libraries. One private, which charged $ 12 per year, and the other was public, and totally free. Here in Tennessee, the library is free to all residents.

Question by Kathryn K: Is there a website for the CHEAPEST local services?
Is there a site where people can inform each other of the cheapest services/products/deals in their city? Something like Yelp, but only for the CHEAPEST services/items.
(for example, I know a place where all jewelry is $ 1, and another place where you can get an Italian kids meal for $ 2.60, but would like to know where the cheapest nail salon and cheapest dry cleaners in Dallas are…?)
Answer by Tyler Have you tried Angie’s List?
Question by /: Why every time i go by my local church it is closed and there and no times on the door for services?
I plucked up the courage to try and open the door a few days ago and it was closed and its always like that, makes me not want to go back and its the only church in my village, i always thought churches were open 24/7 whats the deal?
Answer by Deep Thought Same reason your parents sent you out for bread, and when you came home there was a sign on the door that said: “We moved.”
Question by buckeye_babe95: Ever used the printer ink refill services at the drug store?
I need printer ink and the local pharmacy offers a discounted refill service. I was just wondering how reliable and safe this is. I’m having thoughts of ink spraying all over the inside of my printer :o) but I want the cheaper alternative.
Answer by Tom Printer refills are rubbish.
They only half fill them,
The colours are faded,
And they ruin your printer.
Question by Michael G: I am looking to start a Travel Services Buissness?
An I have no clue where to start. I am looking to just help Clients find some really good local deal in the Central FL Area who are not from the area. I was looking to maybe help them reserve dinning or hotels in the area, give private tours of the theme parks ( worked at all them) and just help with familys looking for budget vacations. Where do i start? What Do I Do?!
Answer by circles in the soul Start with researching family friendly area’s. And Family means, parents with their parents, parents with young children, and family with teenagers.
There are people who like camping and people who like hotels. Try to come up with different packages that would meet the needs of both.
I don’t know how travel agents make their money but think out of the box … contact taxi’s and buses … trains …. Talk to camp grounds, set up camping tips, or money saving tips online …. picnics, preserving food, choosing hotels with kitchens over going out ( so families can spend more on something else) ….. Create a website that helps people get something from you, even if they don’t pay …. the word will go out and people will come to your site.
Then you can sell ad space, suggest books, write articles. One of the things that I have been looking at is yoga for families, rating trips for families, there are even parenting courses that have the parents bring the children for a week, while the parent goes to classes the child does activities …. this is a great idea …..
Question by NONAME: Would you like to have your funeral services held a your local Walmart?
Inspired by Shortstuff’s question about Walmart selling caskets and urns. What if Walmart offered funeral services at a discounted price too?
