Answer by Sassy
Ring system..hmm this must mean the hair Locs…means attaching hair with a metal tubing..

I have very strong coarse asian hair. It was just at my chest length so quite long..i wanted a few more inches so i got most of my head done (3/4) with these locs…was good for the first 1-2 weeks..anyway if you have thin hair, dont do it… or dyed a lot etc.. (not strong) .. i removed all the hair myself and ive lost A LOT of hair. I would not recommend any hair extension apart from clip ins.. it ruined my hair (its quite short now) You hair breaks off a lot at the metal tubes, usually it would slide out itself but most of the time u just get heaps of breakage..

Do you get a good deal when you exchange your currency at narita airport compared to here in the states?

Question by dill n: Do you get a good deal when you exchange your currency at narita airport compared to here in the states?
I am going to Japan next week and was originally going to get 1000 dollars exchanged for yen here in the states at a local shop, however my friend said that you get a better deal when you exchange your currency in the country you are going to visit. Is this true? Also are the currency exchange booths at narita usually open 24/7? Because my flight doesnt get arrive in narita until 9:00 pm…

Best answer:

Answer by RealAnswers
You always get a better exchange rate in Japan at the Japanese airport. In America, they will rip you off at the airport exchange offices (in America).

There are many exchange offices inside Narita Airport, the main ones in the Arrivals hall close at 2300 (11pm):

I’m going to disagree with the other poster. The exchange rates found in Japan, at Narita Airport are pretty much the same as what you will find in city banks in Japan (the exchange offices are operated by those same banks you find in the city), plus you won’t have the language issue doing it at the airport.

Exchange offices in America will definitely give you less money in return.

Please…little physics help here?

Question by Nanny’s mommy: Please…little physics help here?
You have a new job designing rides for an amusement park. In one ride, the rider’s chair is attached by a 9.0-m-long chain to the top of a tall rotating tower. The tower spins the chair and rider around at the rate of 1 rev every 4.0 s. In your design, you’ve assumed that the maximum possible combined weight of the chair and rider is 150 kg. You’ve found a great price for chain at the local discount store, but your supervisor wonders if the chain is strong enough. You contact the manufacturer and learn that the chain is rated to withstand a tension of 3000 N.

Will this chain be strong enough for the ride?

I converted 1rev/4seconds to rad/s
.25rev/s x 2(pi) = 1.57 rad/s

what do I do from here?

will the chain be strong enough?

Best answer:

Answer by Rackbrane
Let:
T be the tension in the chain,
a be the inclination of the chain to the vertical,
m be the mass of the rider and chair,
r be the radius of the horizontal circle in which the chair rotates,
w be the angular velocity of the chair,
l be the length of the chain.

Resolving horizontally:
T sin(a) = mrw^2 …(1)
r = l sin(a) …(2)

Eliminating r from (1) and (2):
T = ml w^2.

w = 2pi / 4
= pi / 2 rad/sec.

T = 150 * 9.0 * (pi * / 2)^2
= 3331 N.

The chain is not strong enough.

Here is a math question that I need help with..?

Question by sowhat_drb4@rocketmail.com: Here is a math question that I need help with..?
Write the algebraic equation for the following statement. Solve the equation and give both answers.

Hank and Sally went shopping for school supplies at the local discount store. Hank realized that the price of two pencils was the same as a blue pen. When checking out, Sally paid $ 15 for the ten pencils and five pens for Hank and her. What was the price for one pen and the price for one pencil?

Best answer:

Answer by AC
pencil = 0.75
pen = 1.50

p = pencil and b = blue pen

2p = b
10p+5b=15

10p + 5(2p) = 15
10p +10p = 15
20p = 15
p = 15/20
p = 0.75

2(.75) = b
1.50 = b

Has anyone here ever been/had an intern for a local newspaper?

Question by Natalia Rose: Has anyone here ever been/had an intern for a local newspaper?
So here’s the deal;

My local newspaper is currently accepting two interns and there are five people interested in the position.
I’m going to get interviewed for the position next week.

I’ve been interested in journalism for a couple of years now, and I’m rather curious about how the experience would be like were I to be accepted.
What can I do to ensure that I get the position?

Thanks for reading.

Q&A: Are there any grocery stores here in the metro area of Minnesota that double coupons?

Question by Angelface: Are there any grocery stores here in the metro area of Minnesota that double coupons?
I’ve been turned on to couponing recently, and absolutely love the idea of saving money through coupons. But all of the videos I watch on youtube are of these women and families shopping at stores that double coupons. I’ve called Rainbow and Cub foods and neither double coupons, are there any other grocers in the metro area of Minnesota that double coupons?

Best answer:

Answer by Leigh
Rainbow does do double coupons on Wednesdays, BUT some stores don’t participate in the double couponing…call around to several stores in your area to find one that does do it…it’s up to the manager of the individual store. The Savage store (Co. Rd. 42) does participate (or at least they did several months ago).

Coborn’s doubles on Mondays (up to 50 cents)..Glencoe’s doubles every day. Again, I’d call the stores near you for the store’s policy.

One thing about Cub: They DO accept recently expired coupons (they’ll take them up to 90 days after they expire)…this is great for people like me who often have coupons in the purse that expired just days ago.

While Target does not double coupons, they will allow you to use a manufacturer coupon (internet or Sunday Circular) with a store coupon.
