Considering a job at T-mobile.?

Question by igrl88: Considering a job at T-mobile.?
I’m considering taking a job at the local t-mobile store as a sales representative. I was curious as to what the average t-mobile employee makes in salary and if you get any discounts, on phones or plans?

I can’t speak on behalf of T-mobile but I know when I worked for U.S Cellular we got awesome deals on phones and plans and everything. We got unlimited mins and unlimited text messaging and only paid taxes for the first line and then 10 a month for the same plan with all the rest if we got more then one. I made 12.50/hour at a call center and the retail store agents made closer to 14/hour plus commission but like I said that was with U.S Cellular…not sure with T-mobile…I’ve heard that the cell phone companies are very close with pay….but you never know…Good luck!

You are considering purchasing a suit with a price of 444 dollars that you have just found on the discount rac?

Question by waah30: You are considering purchasing a suit with a price of 444 dollars that you have just found on the discount rac?
You are considering purchasing a suit with a price of 444 dollars that you have just found on the discount rack at a local store. The rack says all item are 23 percent off of their stated price. You have an additional coupon for 20 percent off, and the tax will be 8.14 percent. Give your answer correct to the nearest penny.

Answer by Dave
For your first discount you are paying 77% of the original cost, so:
$ 444 * (1.00 – 0.23) = $ 444 * (0.77) = $ 341.88

You take an additional 20% off the sales price so you are actually paying 80% of that price:
$ 341.88 (1.00 – 0.20) = $ 341.88 * (0.80) = $ 273.504

Now, you need to pay for the suit and the sales tax, so you are actually paying for the suit and for the 8.14% tax:
$ 273.504 * (1 + 0.0814) = $ 273.504 * (1.0814) = $ 295.767 or $ 295.77

Do not add the discounted percentages together to get 43% off. This is not correct! You only take an ADDITIONAL 20% off the SALES price.
