Where is a good car rental place?

Question by Renae: Where is a good car rental place?
What companies offer a good price for car rentals from Saturday to Sunday? Hopefully around 70$ max?
Also needs to seat at least 7-8 people.
Also, if it’s a local business, it has to be in Northeast Ohio.

you may be able to find a special, but i know that when i rent a small car its about $ 40 a day, and they charge more for bigger cars. I check all of the big companies- enterprise, hertz, dollar, alamo, etc. i’ve found that no single company is ever always the cheapest, it changes every time, but i usually have good luck with enterprise. also if you have triple A you can get more of a discount from some of the companies.

How do two Guinea pigs spend the winter in a garage?

Question by jackie: How do two Guinea pigs spend the winter in a garage?
I have two guinea pigs -one male and one female- in separate cages. They’ve been kept in garage over the summer. I don’t have basement and the attic is unacessible. I don’t want to move them inside the house either due to the space limitation. The garage is not heated and the temperature could reach as low as 15F (-9C) during night. The local pet-sitting service is beyoung my reach. Nobody I know is willing to take them just for the winter. This is the first winter for me with guinea pigs. (They were born this past spring)
I’m thinking to build a cell in the garage and use a space heater. But I worry about the safety and wonder how efficient it is. How should I do it properly to make it efficient and yet safe (such as materials, method, and pointers)? I’d appreciate any experience sharing in dealing with this situation. Thanks.

Think about the guinea pigs not yourself. Even though there is limited space in your house that gives you no right to keep living creatures a car shack. Take them out and give them PROPER love & care.

In The late 1960’s There used to be an art program shown in elementary school?

Question by joojoobee: In The late 1960’s There used to be an art program shown in elementary school?
I believe it was also shown on our local PBS station the Title, might be “Art Starts” it Two Lady Hostesses and they would instruct kids how to make things out of everyday objects (Like a drum out of an oatmeal container) Seasonal, etc. it was a black and white program, can’t find anything online with the title “Art Starts” Perhaps someone knows about this show and could help me find it online or just some recollection of it. Thank you.

I have checked both Bowker’s Educational Film and Video Locator, and Film and Video Finder by NICEM (National Information Center for Educational Media, which is owned by Access Innovations and runs the mediasleuth.com site), and they have nothing titled “Art Starts” or similar. But here is a website for ITSMARC, which is some kind of database site for several records of educational media. Just go to the site and set it for title, and 100 results per page and type in ART, and it will give a large list of media with “Art” in its title (just in case “Art Starts” is not the title). The site categorizes the results by each database (shown in a gray box), but I would think the ones that will give the most reliable results are CONTRIBUTED SCHOOLS AND PUBLICS (public libraries) and NICEM, and see if any titles look familiar. I already checked “Art Starts” in ITSMARC, and it gave some results, including an Art Start (no “s” on the end) series made in 1992, which I doubt its what you want. (There was also an Artstart book by Martha Brady and Patsy T. Gleason, in 1994) . Also, don’t discount the dates – I know you said this series was made in the 1960’s, but the dates given on ITSMARC may not be the actual copyright date, but the date of a show’s release on home/school video. I hope you can find this series you are looking for.

Why are employees of financial institutions so pushy towards customers?

Question by J.: Why are employees of financial institutions so pushy towards customers?
I am sick of calling my credit card company or bank and being bombarded with offers to sign up for identity theft protection and cash advances. I am tired of walking into my local bank branch and being greeted by an employee at the doorway who wants to be sure that I know about their low equity line interest rates.

Why are institutions that deal with people’s finances trying to hustle their fee-ridden services that customers aren’t even interested in? I know it’s for profit, but don’t they realize how annoying and pushy they are?

Unfortunately that kind of pushy determination is often what makes the sale. It may be off-putting to customers such as yourself but a lot of people succumb to the pressure. There’s not much you can do to avoid it.

What kind of Valentines Day flower would you suggest?

Question by Courier New: What kind of Valentines Day flower would you suggest?
My church’s Youth group and I were planning on passing out flowers on Valentines Day at a local nursing home. Unfortunately, most flowers (especially roses like we were planning) get really expensive that time of year. And we’re a poor crowd.

What kind of flower would you suggest?

[The LA’s garden district isn’t too far away from us, so if you happen to know a good deal from there–]
