Have you ever had a problem with bees in your compost bin?

Question by Amy L: Have you ever had a problem with bees in your compost bin?
They’ve been in there for a few months now, but the meter reader complained. We called a local beekeepers group, they want $ 100 to remove them and relocate.

Any idea, after we get them out humanely, how to keep the bees out so we won’t have to deal with this again?

Best answer:

Answer by CAPTAIN BEAR
Get a protective suit against bees, placate the bees with smoke, put them in a bin bag and take them to the White House for attention of George Bush. Problem solved.

What bank does Travelers Auto Insurance use to issue checks?

Question by Ashley‚ô•: What bank does Travelers Auto Insurance use to issue checks?
My husband is dealing with a lawyer, Travelers issued the check and the lawyer is holding it in HIS bank account for 7 days. Tomorrow is the 7 days. Im wondering, what bank Travelers uses when they issue checks just to see if we have a local bank around here, if not our local bank will hold the check for a week. Will his lawyer issue him a check from his company account, or will it be the same check that travelers sent originally?

Best answer:

Answer by mbrcatz
The lawyer subtracts HIS payment out of the check, and then sends you a check from the law firm’s account – after subtracting out payments for any leinholders, like medical providers or health insurance companies – for the balance.

It will not be the same check.

Q&A: Where do I get bus in Chicago to go to local casino?

Question by Goodadvice: Where do I get bus in Chicago to go to local casino?
Need to know where to get those buses that take you to casinos. Live on southside. I know people take buses from 87th Dan Ryan–how much do you pay? Anybody know what days the buses run and times? Want to take some family members to some casinos. Thanks.

Answer by A T
In the Chicago area there are no casinos, and a bus ride would be a long trip, generally these are subsidised by the casinos, if you know of a location, for a bus trip to commence from you will generally be aware that there is only one locale for a given city, for safety of the patrons stops are not made outside of this locale, stick with what you know to be a pick up point and get your information from the bus company in question, but expect that the nearest indian reservation may be some way off, and these are ,outside of Vegas, or Nevada the only legal; sites, and in Illinois there are about 45 reservation/tribal areas, many small ones, and nationally there are over 304 that may be granted the right to open a casino, but in reality most do not have one, there are about 3 which can be called casinos but the remainder are more accurately gambling halls, It may seem like a cool idea, but I have worked in this industry for 35 years and trust me on this, casinos are greedier than banks and politicians, they are temples built to the gods of greed, so do not ever go closer than a cinema screen, to them….and be warned that the casinos are not the only ones to want your money, the biggest scam in gambling history resulted in an Indian reservation being fleeced to the tune of $ 90,000,000, for the guidance the thought they needed to gain a gaming licence, ( and yes that reads 90 million !) fraud abounds even on the street level, where the most common scam is the guy who says he has to leave, to catch a plane, ( or has been barred because he was winning too much), and just happens to have a few high value chips he can not get back in to cash , do you want to buy them at a discount, buddy,? yeah ? when you get to the cash desk I promise you, that like all the promises casinos make, it will turn out to be a fake ! you can buy fraudulent chips at about twenty Nevada makers quite legitimately, for any value up to $ 25,000, and they will look just like the real thing, which is just what they are because casinos get theirs from the same makers, but there is always a little tip that tells casinos that these are fake, do not get caught out, better to go to a good restaurant, or show, and get your wallet fitted to a inside pocket on your trousers, carry a muggers wallet ( e.gh. expired credit cards, a few low value bills for bulk, and if you are being mugged throw this “muggers wallet” past the mugger, onto the floor and run in the opposite direction, you are 85% less likely to be hit as a moving target, than a stationary one, and most of all never believe it will not happen to you, every one is caught out or conned sometime, even the police, there are some very plausible people after your money, remember the rule:…. “money is like a sixth sense, without it, all the others are useless”…..and lastly when you do decide to gamble, and you seem keen on the idea, there is a big sign, just on the way out of Vegas, by the roadsides, and it says “next time, try Britain, the odds are better,” and this is absolutely correct, the American versions of the casino games have a house edge ( advantage), that is twice what the law allows in Britain, the lowest house advantage in any casinos , anywhere in the world, in fact, you lose money at twice the rate in America than you will in England, Scotland, or Wales, but most of all if you get a big win in Britain you are paid in full on the night in question, with no tax on casino winnings, unlike most American casinos who either charge you tax, or pay in installments over the next few months/years, thus gaining interest on you winnings, and yes it is possible to win a million here as well and it will be in sterling which is worth $ 1.76 for every pound won, you get 1 dollar and seventy six cents, and most places do not charge for foreign currency payouts many also will give you a cheque in US dollars if requested, with no commission on the foreign exchange…..
