Question by Bob: What is the difference between local and state wages?
I need to fill out the FASFA form for college, and some of the questions deal with your parent(s) finances. One of the questions is: “What was your mother’s adjusted gross income for 2010?” I have the documents that answer the question; however, there are boxes for state and local wages. My mother’s gross income for local wages is about $ 80,000, while under state wages it’s about $ 70,000. What is the difference between these two types of wages, and which one do I put on the FASFA form?
Question by Lily: What is the closest thing to a zero coupon bond in Australia?
What is the closest thing to a zero coupon bond in Australia?
Answer by John W Imagine buying a three year bond with a face value of $ 1,000 and 10% annual coupons and you take delivery of the bond certificate. If you bought the bond at a bank or the post office, you would receive the physical certificate. If you bought it through a broker, you would have to pay the broker a fee to have the bond certificate mailed out to you. Now you take this certificate home and detach the coupons, if the perforations prove difficult, a pair of scissors would suffice to separate the coupons. You now have four zero coupon bonds, a $ 100 face value one year zero coupon bond, a $ 100 face value two year zero coupon bond, a $ 100 face value three year zero coupon bond and a $ 1,000 face value three year zero coupon bond.
So to answer your question, the closest thing to a zero coupon bond in Australia would be a zero coupon bond. Mind you it may be a little more difficult if you don’t have scissors down under.
Question by xmizzruwadi08: Is it stealing if you use a coupon to get free rentals from redbox?
My boyfriend uses the same coupon each time and he hasn’t paid for a rental for some time now. I think it’s stealing but he doesn’t. What do you guys think? Also, do you think red box will eventually catch up with him if he does it over and over again? He uses his credit card each time.
Question by Yahwehist Ear Candle from 3500 BCE: My coupon for 20 Chicken McNuggets expired yesterday, can I use my faith like a mustard seed to unexpire it?
I also found a coupon for $ 1 off 2 packages of fruit of the loom under wear that expired in 1998. Is there any hope?
Question by boyfriendlessMegin: can i pay my debts at a debt collector in my local area instead of dealing with the out of state collectors?
Because I really have no Idea how to contact them. I called my original creditor to see if she could give me the name of the collector and the lady said she wasnt able to do that and i would have to wait for them to call. Couldnt i just pay my local collector and get it over with instead of having to wait?
Answer by Faye H How many collection agencies do you have collecting money from you? It appears several.
However, paying someone locally that has nothing to do with the debt, isn’t going to do anything to pay off the debt.
Look at it this way. It would be sort of like going to K-Mart and walking out with a bunch of merchandise and going down the street to Wal-Mart and handing THEM the money for it. It wasn’t Wal-Marts stuff so you need to go back and pay K-Mart.
Question by Just Be: Does anyone know if the local pest control companies deal with troll infestations?
My cup seems to runneth over lately!
Thanks for answering!
LOL! I am tempted to call that number!
Wow! an actual website about trolls!
Answer by Passive Heretic Perhaps you are especially attractive to trolls, a little troll repellent seems to be in order.
Deepak Chopra was once asked how he dealt with people that used profanities around him and he said that people around him didn’t use profanities because he didn’t draw that out of them.
I attract people that reject me, it’s one of my many blessings.
